GENERAL

  • What is the rental fee and what does it include? Please see the details found here for complete pricing and included items.

  • What is the average budget of a couple getting married at Coastal? The average a couple spends in total getting married at Coastal is between $15,000-$30,000 for all wedding expenses this includes (venue, food, dress, DJ, photographer, etc.). Couples with smaller guest lists could host a wedding in the $10,000 - $15,000 range, and of course, if a couple has a larger budget, they can go all out at Coastal 59 Venue. 

  • How do I secure my date? By signing a contract and paying a 50% retainer.

  • When are the additional payments due? Balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding date.

  • How much is the security deposit? The security deposit is $1,000 hold on your card much like incidentals at a hotel. Nothing will be charged assuming there is no property damage or violations of Clay venue’s policies. The CC information is due at your 30 days walkthrough

  • Do you take credit cards? Yes, we do, more points for you!

  • Do you require event insurance? Yes, this can be obtained from an independent insurance agency.

  • Where are ceremonies held? Does the fee change? Most of our couples get married on Ocean Side Beach. Ceremonies can be held out back in the gazebo.

  • Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by? We ask that all tours are by appointment only. You can request a tour here.

  • Is a planner required for my wedding? No, but we highly recommend it, our full-service packages include a wedding planner and coordinator.

  • How many people can fit in the space? Coastal 59 Venue has room for 150 people for a seated dinner including your bridal party.

  • Am I able to book an event on a holiday? Yes. Holidays will be billed at peak season Saturday rates. You can find a full list of pricing here.

PLANNING

  • What time does the music need to end? Music must conclude on Friday + Saturday by 10:00 PM. to ensure that you, all of your items, and all of your vendors are off-property by 11:00 PM. Music must conclude on Sunday through Thursday by 9 PM to be off property by 10 PM. 

  • When can we start decorating? You have access to Coastal 59 at the time listed on your contract, not earlier.

  • Can we have a sparkler exit? No, sparklers are no longer allowed within city limits, unfortunately.

  • How many people can be seated at each table? Eight comfortably, nine in a pinch, but we don’t recommend it.

  • How do I obtain a marriage license? You can obtain your marriage license at https://www.courts.state.md.us/clerks/worcester/marriage license is valid upon the issue and must be used, in Ocean City, within 6 months.   •  What is the event clean-up process? You and your vendor team are responsible for the removal of trash, food, and all personal belongings, gifts and decor, etc. It is expected that Coastal is left in the condition it was found. Nothing can be left at Coastal 59 overnight.  

FOOD, DRINK, AND RENTALS

  • Is there a food and beverage, or guest count minimum? No there is not.

  • What are our catering options at Coastal? Vendor Flexibility is a perk that we offer here at Coastal. That means that you can choose the vendors you love. Our full-service packages include all vendors or you can opt to choose some of your own.

DECOR

  • Do you allow open flames? Candles with a flame 2 inches below glass are allowed.

  • What furniture is included in the venue rental? (13) five-foot round tables, (3) Six-foot farm rectangle tables (3) six-foot banquet tables, (150) chairs, and (5) thirty-inch diameter cocktail tables (2) Whiskey Barrels (2) Raw edge wood tops, White portable bar.

  • Can furniture from the Client Suite be moved into the event space or any other room? No.

  • Do you allow confetti or glitter? No, we do not allow confetti, glitter, silly string, rice, or other small granule items for a grand exit.

  • Are we able to hang items from the truss beams? Yes, you can tie items to the lower portion of the beam but you must use your own ladder and prior approval is required.

  • Can our vendors drop items off or pick them up outside of the rental period? No. All deliveries must happen during the standard rental period. Please advise your vendors of this policy.
